User Account Management - RBACRole Based User Provisioning (RBAC) Tools4ever supports Role Based Access Control (RBAC) as a basis for assigning authorizations in information systems. As long as the relationships between functions/department/roles and resources in an organization are defined, the provisioning process can be based on this information. In practice, however, this method is not always one hundred percent effective. An organization will often have as many functions as employees and this results in an endless list of roles connected to resources. Tools4ever recommends that organizations use a dual approach to RBAC, letting authorizations at the organizational and departmental level take place automatically and allowing authorizations at the functional and role level to occur manually and on an ad hoc basis. How to implement RBAC within your organization? Read about it in the Tools4ever white paper ‘The what, how and why of Role Based Access Control (RBAC)’.
